The history theme park Bärnau-Tachov is presenting the reconstruction of medieval life on the Czech-Bavarian border (8th–12th century). Some remains of the Medieval “Gold Trail” con­necting Nüremberg and Prague are presented on the Czech side in Tachov.


The ruin of the Přimda Castle is the oldest stone castle in Bohemia, built in 1121.


Kladruby Benedictine monastery was founded in 1115 by Duke Vladislavs I. At the beginning of 14th century it was one of the richest monasteries in the Czech Kingdom
